I just cancelled my MacBook+iPod-order... The folks at Apple couldn't say if the back to school-offer would still be valid if I switched iPods so I'm placing a new order on Tuesday so I can save 200 bucks on the iPod :)

Anyone else think they'll probably rename the iPod touch to simply "iPod"? I think it makes sense, considering almost all of their products feature multi-touch technology at this point.

As much as im not a fan of the iMacs, the price/performance value is impressive. The 24" on an iMac is a little impractical for me...on a standard display yes ...on an iMac no. If i were to buy one (which i'm tempted to) i'd get the 20" model and max it out. Still i prefer the MacPro. Maybe the family will get one for the new desk in the living area as a central system. Good job Apple, while i knew you'd pick meroms i was hoping you'd go with Conroe especially with a 24" version. Oh well.....

How is apple service different from Amazon?. Other than a pretty interface (last time i checked, pretty interfaces did not save me money or help pay the bills).. what's different?. Is the pricing different?.. are the restrictions different?.. why shouldn't I buy from amazon.. what happened to "when apple comes out with their service, they will kill amazon"??
Pricing is different, cheaper in some cases with a lower max price. And restrictions are much better in iTunes, 5 versus 2. Plus the amazon thing isn't mac compatible, it behaves like spyware, and requires a custom player to play the files.

These are some poor quality pictures captured by my camera on my Razor around 11:00 am today. Nothing too special, except the large apple logos plastered on the South and East side of the Moscone Center West. I acutally stood and watched them trying to get the 8+ story Apple decal straight. It was pretty funny. Security was lax (an old man asleep on a chair) but I didnt have the time to risk entry. You can actually look right into the conference area which I found odd, but I doubt there would be much to reveal as it is still only Friday. Well enjoy!

I doubt this one. Would be too expensive and not provide enough value/oomph/bragging rights for consumers.
Got my kid a 3ds and the 3d is cool and yet glad you can turn it off. It gets in the way sometimes and its a relief to go back into 2d after being in 3d a bit.
I don't get headaches but is definitely works your eyes more.

It can cause a lot of problems when people misinterpret or don't understand it. And lots of modern believers do avoid reading the old testament, especially books of the law like Leviticus and Deuteronomy (because they can be hard to understand). "Jesus the Son of God" derives his very legitimacy through the alleged fulfilling of Old Testament prophecies. For a Christian to "avoid reading the old testament" is surely to deny his paternity.
For me personally, I enjoy reading the narratives of old testament figures like Abraham, David, Joshua, Moses, Solomon, Isaac, etc. etc. These people were far from perfect and much of what we learn from them is in taking note of the mistakes they made. It gives me comfort knowing that if God can use them then he can possibly use me despite the numerous mistakes I make.However, these people were Canaanites, worshipping the same pantheon as the other Canaanites, naming their sons after El and other Canaanite gods. The concept of monotheism was a late, exilic development. Throughout their pre-exilic history, the Hebrews in Israel and Judah were polytheistic. It says so on numerous occasions in the Old Terstament. The elohim of Genesis were "the gods": "let us make man in our own image". What can that possibly mean in a monotheistic cosmos?
As for the "Secular Bible", I think it's a misnomer to call it a "bible": surely it is a compendium of philosophy, a kind of eclectic ethical anthology, more akin to a shopping list than a rulebook for Life.

Seriously folks, you have all forgotten that WWDC is not a marketing event. It is a conference for developers. If you take a look at the WWDC page (http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/), you'll notice that there will be lots of talks on various technologies in Mac OS X. That is why all this stuff is depicted on the banner. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the person taking this picture have said that there was two covered banners and this was the only visible one. So, really, this banner is not speculation material. Only a few days left now, we'll find out about all the new stuff soon.

Not interested in this. It's not really any more convenient to do this OTA. Just plug your phone in for 10 mins and install it in the evening. I could maybe see this working over Wi-Fi but for a lot of places this would destroy peoples data caps.

Lenox Mall one in Buckhead. Here without a car, so it has to be something I can Marta to. I got there early this morning and the sign was already up that they were out of stock for the day.
If you have an idea where I could look let me know. I'd love a 64 gig black ATT ready Ipad2. Many coworkers have either the original or the newer iPad and I'm ready to hop on that train.
I don�t know if Apple systems take takes this into account for stock distribution, but LS would be one of the last places I�d expect to find an AT&T/GSM based iPad, given the US Headquarters for AT&T Mobility 1500 feet from the mall.
There are other stores, I like the one in North Point. Not too big and not the snobbery found at LS, IMHO. However, if you don�t have a car, I guess its kind of moot.

T'would be nice comrades... if its Aperture compliant and has a double layer burner, it'll be reason enough for me to upgrade my current MacBook. X3000 would be an added bonus, but not really required if I'm honest.

Right, which is why Fortune 500 companies, education, and the medical industry is quickly adopting them. Maybe you need to open your mind a little to possibilities rather than obsess over one small aspect of the iPad.

I'm a physician at one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the nation and I usually see more iPads at my local Starbucks than at work. So, please enlighten me. Use specific examples please.
I'm actually typing this on my iPad 2 and find it being sold at a toy store as appropriate. I love it, but let's keep it real here.
