    Same thing happened with me - My labor was approved from Phily BEC on Mar 16th 07 and my company kept saying that didn't receive anything till Apr 16th 07...

    Then i was impatient and called Phily BEC and they were very nice to explain me that it can take upto 1.5 months to 2 months for my company to receive via Lawyer. In fact it may take 1 month for Phily BEC to mail - he explained.

    Eventually my company received the Labor papers on May 7th 07....

    Hope this story helps.

    How long on average does it take to get labor approval into my lawyers' hands from BEC once it is approved (certified status shown on the BEC website).

    A# wont start with EAC..

    Read above post, It is a number starting with A and looks like A099 XXX XXX usually found on I140. I dont think this number is alloted anytime before an immigrant petition is filed.


    MRSR question for you. My sons/wifes I94# is different based on actual I94 (last entry) and H4 approval notices (done after entry). Mine remained same. Dilemma which number should i use in their forms.

    Dear All

    I am the first time user of this Forum

    I got this email today from CRIS saying my I485 has been transferred to another office.

    What does this mean?
    I am worried since my PD is 2006 and Visas are not avaialble what is that they wantto do now?

    I changed my employer after 2 years of getting the I 140 approval and EAD.

    Please advice what is it all about and what to expect next

We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case.     Thanks. So if I-485 is approved, then all OK.

    What happens when there is a problem with I-485: Denial or NOID ?
    If denial, and in US, MTR can be filed and if MTR accepted, the period (from Denial) is considered as legal stay (even if not maintaining H1b status).
    But if denial, and outside US, you can NOT enter on AP. Correct ? Here only option to enter US is H1b ? Can MTR be filed ?

    My PD is 08/04/06, and my AP is expiring on June 2nd, I probably will have to travel sometimes June end. I am in a fix if I should go ahead and apply for Ap now. My PD will be current begining June 1st. I heard it may take 1 week to 60 days to get GC after your date becomes current, Do you guys think it's good idea to just apply for AP just in case?

    Indian Government sources had said that the Bureau of Diplomatic Security had contacted the ministry of external affairs (MEA), India around the time Mr Pacheco was incarcerated for his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of his girlfriend Nadia Torrado � he was in jail from July 9 till July 26, when he was awarded bail. He is a former Goa, India tourism minister Francisco Xavier �Mickky� Pacheco was caught on the backfoot on Sunday once again as reports surfaced that the US State Department�s Bureau of Diplomatic Security had informed India that Mr Pacheco might be involved in a big immigration and money laundering racket.

    Mr Pacheco used to operate an employment agency along with his estranged wife Sara Pacheco which specialized in finding employment for Goans abroad. But according to the former minister, he has had nothing to do with the agency since he separated from his wife around four years back.

    Mr. Mickey Pacheco has been accused by the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security of running an international immigration and money-laundering racket. The bureau got in touch with the external affairs ministry through the US embassy in Delhi and reportedly backed its allegations with documents and details of banking transactions. The ministry then passed on the information to the CBI. The evidence is being described as substantive. According to the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security report, Pacheco had 15 million dollars in his account in the US. He recently transferred 2 million dollars to India.

    This question is for my friend. he has a Bcom (3 years bachlors from India) with certification of chartered accountant and cost accountant. He has a 6 years of post qualification experience in india (after ca and ) and now he has 6.5 years of experience in US. (Total post qualification experience is 11-12 years)

    His lawyer said as this is a 3 years degree you dont qualify for EB2. lawyer also send us a case where DOL denied CA plus 3 years of bcom under EB2.

    Can you help us if he qualify for EB-2, what is the best way to file.

    This was already dicussed here in a seperate thread almost 3 weeks ago and everybody knows this is the face saving techniqu of Infosys by paying some not popular channels in USA. just to save from the CHOP SHOP thing.

    if 6 years completed without an LC/I-140, then if someone moves to H4, does LC+I_140 in say 5-6 months, can he/she come back to H1 (3 year extension?)

    I'm a July 2007 filer going to file for my EAD for the first time. Since I'm currently on H1B, how should I answer this question

    I'm applying for:
    a) Permission to accept employment
    b) Replacement
    c) Renewal of my permission to accept employment

    I think I need to go with option "c" since moving from H1B to EAD would qualify for a "c" response

    Please advise.....

    From my experience The people at the national center have no idea whats happening when compared to the guys at the specific centers. The national centers issues generic solutions. (Say fill a form and wait for 45 days. If after 45 days there is no answer they again send the form, etc) If you really want to know more or get proper action, the people at the specific centers will have to be contacted.

    The old way to get to the specified center is back. Dont listen the messages, just press the order of the buttons and it will work.

    I would transfer to a visitor visa and then identify which university and course I want to join. Once I have all the things lined up I would hire a good attorney and file for a new F1.

    i was on opt and my opt ended jan 24th 2009. i had applied to a masters program for spring 09. my old school ( where i did my bachelors) transfered my sevis information to my new school( where i was to start masters). however i decided to discontinue with my new school's masters program. i did not registered for classes. i told them that i would no longer want to pursue that particular masters anymore. i now want to join another institute for a short time. they require my sevis information in order to make an i20 for me. my new school( where i had applied for masters) says that they do not have an i20 for me since i cancelled my program. whichever institute i transfer to for future studies would require a copy of a current i20 from me for admissions.
    now where does this situation leave me? am i out of status as of now? will i be able to transfer to any university/institute for my future studies?
